At West Coast University as a Clinical Coordinator, you will ensure the seamless coordination of student clinical placements, maintains compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements, supports assessment and documentation processes, and serves as a liaison among leadership, students, faculty, and clinical partners.  The Clinical Coordinator oversees day-to-day clinical operations, including placement acquisition, documentation accuracy, scheduling, compliance monitoring, and clinical site relationship management to ensure students meet clinical placement requirements and regulatory standards. This role is responsible for functional oversight of student clinical assignments and coordination with clinical faculty as directed by leadership.

 

You will make an impact by:  

 

·         Develop and maintain annual clinical placement requests with healthcare facilities and consortia.

·         Coordinate, request, confirm, and manage student clinical placements.

·         Assign students to clinical facilities.

·         Manage student placement changes and work with Managers of Clinical Faculty to arrange clinical make-up experiences.

·         Ensure student and faculty clinical documentation is complete and compliant.

·         Maintain clinical management databases (e.g., CORE, EXXAT, CALIPSO, CampusVue).

·         Support accreditation and regulatory reporting requirements.

·         Verify compliance with site requirements for assigned faculty.

·         Resolve student scheduling conflicts in collaboration with leadership.

·         Assist with strategic planning for clinical growth and capacity.

·         Participate in professional development and campus events.

·         Uphold confidentiality, ethical conduct, and university policies.

 

Your Experience Includes:  

 

·         Minimum 2 years’ experience in clinical coordination, collecting and tracking healthcare-related paperwork, or similar/related experience is required.

·         Knowledge of clinical education processes and regulatory compliance.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical scheduling systems.

·         Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Conflict resolution and mediation skills.

·         Ability to interpret policies and ensure compliance.

·         Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

·         Customer service orientation and cultural competency.

·         Willingness to work flexible schedules and travel locally as needed.

 

 

Education: Education and experience must align with state regulations and comply with the rules and regulations of state authorization agencies.

  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Valid driver’s license and minimum required liability insurance (if applicable).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
