You will make an impact by:
- Providing administration and management of the Facilities work order system, intra-building moves, adds, and/or changes, repair and preventative maintenance of various campus equipment and building systems, and inspection/audit of the buildings in accordance with all applicable safety, maintenance, and organizational policies, procedures, and best practices, develops, implements, and monitors departmental procedures and equipment to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Will supervise and assist with the campus maintenance mechanic's execution of requests for service including repairs, movement of materials, shipping and receiving, room setup and breakdown, general cleaning, and spills as needed.
- Will perform, support and coordinate general operational services for common area maintenance and responding to requests for movement of materials, shipping and receiving, room setup and breakdown of classrooms and conference rooms, cleaning, spills, glass doors, etc.
- Manages communications with leadership and serves as a trusted resource between finance and capital spend departments.
- Replenishes lounge/breakroom supplies and maintains area cleanliness.
- Performs and/or coordinates preventative maintenance; cleans, adjusts, and repairs equipment and systems.
- Participates in the coordination, monitoring, scheduling, and execution of facility-related activities, service/requests with contractors and special events.
- Troubleshoots problems, repairs, tests, and adjustments, as needed.
- Maintains tools and equipment required for maintenance/repair tasks and inventory of related materials.
Your experience includes:
- 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning repairs and maintenance.
- Clean and valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to type routine reports, correspondence, and emails.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent time management skills and functions well under pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- Self-starter capable of operating with little daily supervision and the ability to escalate issues when and where appropriate.
- Flexible to meet the department's demands, including travel and after-hours work, with the ability to drive/travel locally to respond to afterhours/weekend emergencies as requested.
- This is an onsite position where you will work at the campus (12215 Victory Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA) Monday-Friday and will be on an on-call rotation.
Education/Certifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- Facilities related certifications preferred.
Compensation:
- $31.36 - 42.34/hour
